The Tempest Ultra Modern rocks a set of the revolutionary Fishman Fluence pickups are free from hum and noise, revealing pure, uncorrupted and musical tone, with the up-front dynamics only Fluence can deliver.
Classic Humbucker Pickups
The classic Fluence humbucker delivers the tone we all know and love.
These pickup features three classic voices: strong calibrated PAF, the hot-rodded tone that redefined lead guitar, and a vintage single coil — all in the same pickup.
Each Fishman Fluence Classic Humbucker pickup has three distinct and useful sounds on-board. These sounds start with the revolutionary Fluence Core, the heart of Fluence tone. From this Fluence Core we then create the classic timbres and tone — colours you expect from great guitar pickups — as well as some you’ve never expected.
These Fishman Fluence pickups are multi-voice so you can toggle between two musically complimentary voices.
Cutting edge switching technology gives you six distinct sound options for the ultimate in versatility. The traditional oil paper capacitors and CTS pots ensure a precision audio taper which gives you smooth, accurate response. Crank your guitar up to 10 and the volume swells all the way—no abrupt flattening to choke your playing style.
The Wood
The body and neck are made from hand picked Ash and Maple hardwoods. They are carefully selected for their tone and resonance, which allows for a surprising amount of sustain.
It’s all about the finish
At Munson Guitars we always prefer to use finishes that leave the grain visible, so you can see the beauty of the wood. The Ash body is finished with opaloid white traditional nitrocellulose that will allow the finish to age gracefully. The Maple neck, which includes a dual action truss rod and contrasting dark walnut skunk strip, is protected and enhanced by a proprietary blend of finishing oil which delivers a hard wearing, yet soft satin feel for a super fast action.
