The Tech
With styling inspired by the classic t-style design that has been rocking the world for decades, the Tempest is a blend of traditional craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technologies. Combining flowing curves and hard edges, the Tempest feels smooth and plays even smoother.
Classic Humbucker Pickups
The Mosquito is designed around a set of custom hand wound Bare Knuckle humbucker pickups features Alnico V magnets to produce a fat, rich clean tone and punchy driven tone. These humbuckers make this guitar super versatile and suitable for hot blues, hard rock, grunge, punk and old school metal, right through to progressive rock tones.
The Wood
The body and neck are made from hand picked Ash and flame maple hardwoods. They are carefully selected for their tone and resonance, which allows for a surprising amount of sustain.
Controlling the buckers, is a complex passive circuit which produces 48 tonal options. Designed for the ultimate in sound, yet the relativity intuitive controls include 2 x volume pots , 2 x tone pot, a 3-way pickup selector and mini toggles.

It’s all about the finish
At Munson Guitars we always prefer to use finishes that leave the grain visible, so you can see the beauty of the wood. The Ash body is sports a bare naked finish, with traditional nitrocellulose that will allow the finish to age gracefully. The flame maple neck, which includes a dual action truss rod is protected and enhanced by with satin nitrocellulose which delivers a hard wearing, yet soft satin feel for a super fast action.
